The deportation decision, together with its reasons, shall be notified to the foreigner against whom the deportation decision has been taken or to his/her legal representative or lawyer. If the foreigner against whom the deportation decision has been taken is not represented by a lawyer, he/she or his/her legal representative shall be informed about the outcome of the decision, appeal procedures and deadlines.

The foreigner or his/her legal representative or lawyer may apply to the administrative court against the expulsion decision within 15 days of the notification of the decision. The applications to the court shall be finalized within 15 days. The decision of the court is final. Without prejudice to the consent of the foreigner, the foreigner shall not be deported within the period of filing a lawsuit or until the conclusion of the proceedings in case of an application to the court. However, this rule shall not apply if the foreigner leaves Turkey with his/her own consent.

Those against whom a deportation order has been issued shall be given a period of not less than 15 days and up to 30 days to leave Turkey, provided that it is specified in the deportation order. However, this period shall not be granted to those who pose a risk of flight or disappearance, who violate the rules of legal entry or legal exit, who use false documents, who try to obtain a residence permit with false documents or who are found to have obtained a residence permit, or who pose a threat to public order, public security or public health.
